Geoduck

The Pacific geoduck is one of the largest burrowing clams inthe world. Unlike hard shell clams geoducks have a soft, delicate shell that only partially covers their large body. They also have a long siphon that allows them to stay buried beneath the sediment while reaching the surface to feed. Their unique shape, soft shell and long neck make them one of the most distinctive clams around.

Geoduck is prized for its naturally sweet flavor and firm, crisp texture. The mantle and neck are the parts most commonly enjoyed and can be prepared in a variety of ways, including served raw as sashimi, thinly sliced for hot pot, stir-fried, steamed, grilled or added to soups and ceviche. Because of its fresh, delicate flavor, geoduck is especially popular in Asian cuisine.

At our facility, geoducks arrive from British Columbia and are placed in our wet storage system. This gives the clams a chance to revitalize after shipping and helps them return to the lively state before they make their way to customers. The result is a fresh, vibrant product that is ready to be enjoyed.
