About Pangea Shellfish
What we do... Pangea Shellfish is a full service seafood company with a strong emphasis on shellfish and in particular...OYSTERS!!! Some may claim the widest selection of oysters, but we are the ones who actually have it! We carry 25 to 40 seasonal varieties of Atlantic oysters every week, and 15 to 20 varieties of Pacific oysters each week.
We buy our oysters everyday and move through our inventory quickly. Most oysters are brought in 2-3 times each week!!! We have the knowledge, sourcing, and buying power to put together a winning oyster program for the most discerning customers.
What we don't do...
We do not depurate or wet-store our oysters! THIS MAKES FOR A GENERIC FLAVOR!!! We all love oysters because of the unique flavor of each harvest location. Who wants our beloved bivalves to all taste the same?
We ship the oyster you ask for. Some will substitute a Buzzards Bay for a Wellfleet Harbor, or a Long Island for a Rhode Island. No shell games here! If we don't have it, we will not make it up to get a quick sale.
We do not sell around our distributors. If restaurants in your delivery area contact us, we refer them to you...EVERYTIME!
